Porter Braswell

CEO and Co-founder

Porter Braswell is the CEO and Co-founder of Jopwell, an online minority hiring platform that is a part of Y Combinator’s Summer 2015 batch. Companies leveraging Jopwell include Facebook, McKinsey, Morgan Stanley, Teach For America, MasterCard, and several other prominent organizations.

After graduating from The Lawrenceville School in 2007 and Yale in 2011, Porter started his career on the foreign exchange sales desk at Goldman Sachs covering hedge funds and asset managers. While at Goldman Sachs, Porter wrote the book “Yes, You Can – The Secrets Revealed for How to Get into and Succeed at America’s Top Universities and Colleges” after years of mentoring students.

In addition to being an author and entrepreneur, Porter has a passion for traveling and has visited over thirty-five countries and six out of the seven continents. He recently launched his blog where he writes about the startup journey. He currently lives and works in New York City.
